The Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Tribunal of Justice (TSJ) of Venezuela ratified that the collection of signatures of the people enrolled in the register of voters for a recall referendum against the government of President Nicolás Maduro should be attained in all the 23 states of Venezuela plus the Capital District.
In a decision posted on the TSJ website, the high court notes that “failure to collect such percentage in any of the states or the Capital District would make null and void the call for the recall referendum.”
