Venezuelan Congress Speaker Julio Borges and some other opposition deputies will embark on a world tour to expose before international organizations, including the United Nations (UN), the Organization of American States (OAS) “electoral fraud” in gubernatorial polls.
Deputy Luis Florido, the chair of the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the National Assembly (AN), gave the news, adding that some meetings will be also held with foreign government and that the tour would begin “in the next few hours.”
The agenda includes a meeting with the Group of Lima, composed of 12 nations of The Americas that have reported many a time the totalitarian direction of President Nicolás Maduro’s government, Efe quoted.
During the gubernatorial election held last October 15, pro-government candidates won in 18 out of 23 Venezuelan states, in a process stuffed with irregularities and manipulation of the results in at least one state, according to the dissent.
