In 2016, the Banco de Comercio Exterior (Bancoex) contributed over USD500 million for more than 100 companies engaged in non-oil exports, reported Bancoex president Ramón Gordils.
Regarding the financing offered by Bancoex, Gordils said that the terms depend on the specific characteristics of each company. He noted that some companies do not need financing because they have their own resources.
Gordils added that 40% of the portfolio financed by Bancoex is allocated to working capital to encourage exports of industrial sectors.
