Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said Wednesday he would send humanitarian aid to Haiti, a Caribbean nation recently hit by hurricane Matthew.
“Let’s pray for the people of Haiti and later carry out supportive actions for our Caribbean sister nations. You are not alone, here is Venezuela, the ALBA (Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America); here is the Bolivarian solidarity,” the president stressed during his TV show “En Contacto con Maduro” (In touch with Maduro), as reported by state-run news agency AVN.
