In rejection of a legal decision banning demonstrations at the headquarters of the National Electoral Council (CNE), the Venezuelan opposition resolved to rally on Wednesday in the surroundings of the Judiciary’s offices nationwide.
The announcement was made by anti-government lawmaker Marialbert Barrios, who added that the rally was beginning at 10:00 am.
In the case of Caracas, Barrios said people would gather in El Rosal (east Caracas) where the Second Court for Contentious Administrative Matters is based.
“The TSJ cannot interfere with the Venezuelans’ right enshrined in the Constitution not only to free transit, to demonstrate peacefully within the law, but also to request the government to represent nationals’ interests (…)” she stressed.
