Manzanillo is one of the bays that most depict the island lifestyle: fishermen, services available for tourists, a long, calm or wavy beach depending on the season, and a relaxing environment which lasts until dusk. Restaurants prepare authentic fish soup, offer fried meat, squid and prawns. Mussels are unique.
Manzanillo covers an area of 500 meters, yet it looks larger because of its semicircle shape. It is bordered by an alluring group of big rocks that may be walked by during low tide for reaching small near beaches. It is located in Antolín del Campo municipality, Margarita Island, between El Agua and Guayacán beaches.
From Porlamar, by car or bus, visitors must run the "31 de Julio" (July 31) avenue in La Asunción city, a trip that takes 25 minutes. They can also set off from Juangriego village.
