German Prime Minister Angela Merkel emboldened Latin American nations to keep on pursuing a “peaceful solution” for the ongoing crisis in Venezuela during an address to students and scientist in Buenos Aires.
“Many people are suffering from the disastrous situation of shortage in a country with plenty of resources,” Merkel said, particularly lamenting “the dozens” of killings during the protests in Venezuelan streets.
In this context, Merkel reposed hope in the potential work in regional forums, including the Common Market of the South (Mercosur), Efe reported.
