Venezuelan oil exports to the United States fell by 45% during the week of December 16, putting and en to an upward trend of four consecutive shipments.
According to the US Department of Energy, exports averaged 514,000 barrels per day, as compared to 934,000 from December 16, its lowest figure since the 466,000 barrels reported on October 21.
For its part, the Venezuelan Petroleum and Mining Ministry informed that the local crude oil basket stood at USD 45.27 per barrel the week of December 23, a 0.31% surge as compared to the previous figure.
Pdvsa 2017: the winner of the week
At the end of the week of December 23, sovereign bonds recorded a general decline: instruments VENZ2019-7.75% experienced the worst performance down at 1.33%, followed by VENZ2031-11.95% with 1.02%, while the VENZ2020 hit the lowest decline of the week at 0.10%.
Pdvsa bonds recorded mixed variations: Pdvsa2017-8.5% reported the best outcome in the last seven days with a 2.18% increase, followed by Pdvsa2020 with 1.11% and Pdvsa2035 with 0.34%, the worst result.
