The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, plans to hold a press conference on Monday, together with Lilian Tintori, the wife of imprisoned opposition leader Leopoldo López, and Patricia de Ceballos, the wife of ex-mayor Daniel Ceballos, also behind bars.
The news was given on Sunday by the regional organization a statement, in which it was detailed that the press conference will be held at the OAS based in Washington at 2:00 p.m., Venezuelan time, according Efe.
It will be Almagro’s first public appearance after having requested this week the pullout of Venezuela from OAS, a complicated diplomatic process that requires the support of two thirds (24) of the 34 Member States of the hemispheric organization.
