Near the old shelter of pirate Henry Morgan is Punta La Cruz Beach: its waters, which are amazingly crystal-clear –a synonym for visual purity- make visitors feel like owners of a treasure, stirring their imagination. Besides enjoying the beach, tourists are accompanied by the sensation that a part of the country's far-off history lies on the waters. Besides, the sight of the small hills or Los Monos island completes the perfect stay.
This destination is 500 km long and offers sheer white sands. It is at latitude 10°25' north and longitude 64°54' west, east Guanta and Puerto La Cruz towns.
There are two ways to reach this tropical paradise, yet always on fish boats. The first option consists in taking the boat from Pamatacualito sector, two kilometers away from Guanta. The second alternative is getting onto such boat which sets from La Cruz sector in the "Paseo La Cruz y el Mar" (The Cross and The Sea promenade) (formerly "Paseo Colón"). The trip costs VEB 600.
