Located in the beautiful Paria Peninsula, Medina is one of the country's most emblematic beaches. The large number of coconut trees provides it with an authentically tropical exuberance. Its calm waters afford security to travelers, and it has become one of the families' preferred destinations.
Visitors may stay at "Playa Medina" inn, which has eight double room huts, and an ocean-view hall and balcony.
One of the world's most beautiful beaches has an area covering 350 meters, some 500 footsteps on delicate golden sands. It is Venezuela's most photographed beach.
Tourists may arrive in Medina Beach by land from Carúpano to Río Caribe. Later, they must run 24 kilometers towards the beach. After they see a sign reading "Playa Medina," they must continue their way through 8 kilometers of paved road. Small boats set off from Río Caribe in a 30-minutes trip to enjoy the landscape of Sucre's coastline.
