Many tourists visit the east coast of Falcón state to enjoy their cays. However, very few people know about the Gulf of Cuare. It is the heart of a unique ecosystem in Venezuela, chosen by more than 370 species of birds to carry out their living activities. The Gulf of Cuare is the second area with the widest diversity of birds in Venezuela. The first one is Henri Pittier national park.
Hectares of protected area, for this is a wildlife shelter. It includes a little gulf, a seawater body that encompasses 12 kilometers. It is located on the east coast of Falcón state, Monseñor Iturriza municipality. Petrographs are the other attraction.
Go to Chichiriviche. Once there, you can hire one of the 23 associations of motorboat service that work in the area and order the trip, including a visit to the Gulf and multiple cays. Some crewmen are trained to show the local beauties. Costs range from VEB 30,000 to VEB 50,000 per trip, in a motorboat with room for up to 10 passengers.
