October 7 presidential election among the trending topics in Twitter

Opposition candidate Henrique Capriles Radonski accumulated 18,504 (47.8%) twits upon posting his "There is a way" campaign slogan on his twitter account @hcapriles

Some 50,394 twits in relation with Venezuelan candidates Henrique Capriles Radonski (38,672 or 76.7%) and Hugo Chávez (11,722) were recorded from September 26 at 6 p.m through September 27 at 11 a.m.

As in recent reports, there were not common topics to the two candidates, which precludes comparison of their respective reputation indices.

On the account of the Venezuelan ruling party candidate, @chavezcandanga, the trending topic referred to candidate Capriles, with 2,700 mentions.

The remaining 90% of the twits pointed to different topics, among which the word "victory" was repeatedly mentioned. 

As for presidential candidate Capriles, @hcapriles, 18,504 twits (47.8%) were in response to his campaign slogan "There is a way".

Twits related to the days ahead of the presidential election and calls to vote ranked second in the account of the opposition leader, with 11,109 mentions.
