Ninety-seven percent of polling stations are open

The opposition Unified Democratic Panel (MUD) Electoral Committee said that according to reports received up to 11:00 a.m., 97% of polling stations is open throughout the country.

Nancy Hernández, a member of the MUD Electoral Committee, said that only a small number of polling stations have faced problems in starting the vote.

She noted that there have been some setbacks in a small number of polling stations. For instance, Hernández said that there were problems to establish a polling station in a town of the state of Barinas, due to a power outage. The situation was solved minutes later, she said.
