Henrique Capriles Radonski, the presidential candidate of the opposition umbrella group Unified Democratic Panel (MUD), on Sunday called for the unity of all Venezuelans. His comments came during his first speech as the opposition presidential hopeful for the election to be held next October 7.
"I want to tell all our people: Failing is not an option! We are here to build a different future! We have come to build a future for all Venezuelans. It is not the time for the left-wing or the right-wing. It is the time for a Venezuela that belongs to all Venezuelans," said Capriles Radonski.
"One thing that keeps me awake is uniting Venezuela. We will unite Venezuela in every corner. We are here to unite our people. We are here to bring Venezuelans together," he added.
He thanked Venezuelan people for their participation in the primaries and the National Armed Forces for their work on the election day.
Additionally, all opposition presidential hopefuls congratulated Capriles Radonski.
