A tour of polling stations downtown Caracas

Some polling centers downtown Caracas started operations with some delay, as some polling officers arrived late, said Luis Suárez, a member of the regional board of the primary elections.

El Universal daily newspaper visited some polling centers downtown Caracas to ascertain the voting process of the opposition primaries to elect a presidential hopeful, as well as candidates to governor's offices and mayoralties nationwide.

Five candidates seek to represent the Venezuelan opposition in the presidential vote in October: Pablo Medina, Diego Arria, María Corina Machado, Henrique Capriles and Pablo Pérez.
