Seven out of 10 Venezuelans watched on TV the government-opposition debate, broadcast nationwide, last week. Who won the debate? A total of 34% of people (who saw the debate) claim the opposition pulled off victory in the first meeting, while another 25% believe Maduro won. Meanwhile, just 10% of people think the two blocks scored victory.

Most people described as positive the government-opposition talks. A total of 54% of respondents believe meetings will help solve the country's problems. However, a large sector of the population has expressed doubts about the meetings' efficacy, to the extent that 24% reckons the meetings will serve little purpose, and 19% says they will serve no purpose.
