The president of the Federation of University Councils (FCU), Central University of Venezuela, Juan Requesens, has informed that students will not attend on Wednesday a meeting with the government.

The students' leader said, "We have not received any formal invitation. Mr. Nicolás Maduro (...) has just made comments during nationwide broadcasts, but he has not made any attempt to propel such a meeting with students. Formally inviting students means telling us the date, time, and terms" of the meeting.

Requesens underlined that regardless of the meeting or the scenario, "the government is the only one responsible for solving the problems of Venezuelans."
