Members of the Organization of American States (OAS) voted on Friday for a closed session to deal with Venezuela's state of affairs.

The decision was voted by 22 Member States versus 11.

Before María Corina Machado, an opposition deputy at the Venezuelan National Assembly, could take the floor, several delegations backed Nicaragua's proposal to hold the session behind closed doors. Panama, and some other countries, advocated an open debate.
