Venezuelan opposition has requested the United Nations to let it brief on the actual events in Venezuela instead of "the government tales full of lies," major opposition leader and Miranda state governor, Henrique Capriles Radonski, reported on Monday.

"We have asked the UN to allow us to brief on what is actually going on in Venezuela," Capriles Radonski twitted after questioning the remarks made by Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs Elías Jaua on Monday in Geneva during a session at the UN Human Rights Council. According to Jaua, there is no social unrest in Venezuela.

The Venezuelan opposition leader remembered also that the Unified Democratic Panel (MUD) has called for nationwide demonstration next Saturday "against scarcity, which harms the majority."
