Panama suggests meeting with OAS ambassadors to address crisis in Venezuela

Panama informed on Tuesday it has suggested "convening" an immediate meeting for consultation with the ambassadors of each Member State of the Organization of American States to ponder on the situation of Venezuela and draw initiatives to help "find a solution through dialogue among Venezuelans."

Panama's request is based on the OAS's charter and the statutes of the Permanent Council, which state that "any Member State can request a meeting of consultation to delve into the problems of common interest to the States," reads a communiqué as EFE informed.
