University students demonstrating and heading for the National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel), Caracas, were stopped by the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and the Bolivarian National Police just one block from Conatel's headquarters.

Although they were deterred from their goal to reach Conatel's headquarters, students are peacefully chanting slogans against the Venezuelan government and Conatel. They accused Conatel of censoring mass media in the last few weeks.

In peace, demonstrators moved from Brión Square in Chacaíto, northeast Caracas, to Las Mercedes, southeast Caracas.
