Via his Twitter account (@Zabayar), Bolivar state Deputy to the Venezuelan National Assembly, Adel El Zabayar has posted pictures in which he appears armed in a battlefield in Syria.

The Syrian-Venezuelan pro-government deputy traveled to Syria two weeks ago to join his family in Syria, due to the recent armed conflict in that country. He requested an indefinite leave to the Congress board to join the resistance forces, if a foreign invasion takes place.

Since El Zabayar has no substitutes in the National Assembly (he was the substitute of Rafael Gil, who was appointed president of state-run steelmaker Sidor) now there are 97 pro-government deputies in the Parliament.
