Opposition and government's supporters are roaming the main streets and avenues of Caracas on Wednesday in commemoration of the Labor Day.

The government rally was called by President Nicolás Maduro, who is taking part in the demonstrations as well. Pro-government demonstrators are gathering at Libertador Avenue, northeast Caracas and then are heading downtown the capital city.

Meanwhile, the opposition's rally was convened by former presidential candidate Henrique Capriles and is taking place east Caracas, from Los Ruices to Chacaíto.

Capriles urged workers to stand up in defense of the country's resources and raise their voice for labor benefits. He added that bargaining agreements in the public sector have not been discussed under the present administration. Sources did not rule out Capriles' participation in the rally.
