Representatives of the political parties which form part of the Unified Democratic Panel (MUD) formally registered the candidacy for president of Henrique Capriles Radonski, ahead of the presidential election next April 14.

As reported by the MUD Executive Secretary, Ramón Guillermo Aveledo, the dissenting coalition unanimously agreed to use a single ballot in the upcoming poll, intended to embrace all the currents "in a far-flung Venezuelan spirit, to stage a campaign for democracy, in defense of rights, and against lies and abuses."
