Electoral body opens two days of nominations for presidential election

Sixty-five political organizations may nominate candidates from Sunday through Monday at 2:00 pm

The Nominations Committee designated by the National Electoral Council (CNE) was set up on Sunday, March 10, from 8:00 am, to accept nominations of candidates to the presidential election slated for April 14.

The National Electoral Board, chaired by CNE president Tibisay Lucena, and including directors Socorro Hernández and Abdón Hernandez, activated the Nominations Committee to ensure compliance with the requisites for registration of presidential candidates.

Sixty-five political organizations may nominate candidates from Sunday through Monday at 2:00 pm.
