A man accused of rape shoots teenager in Caracas
A man identified as Wilmer Joseph Maestre, 19, accused of having raped and murdered three women in Caracas, has stricken again. Maestre shot a boy in a low-income sector in Caracas late on Tuesday.
Police sources confirmed that Maestre is hiding in the area, although some people said they spotted the suspect in other sectors.
A picture of Maestre has been disseminated via social networks after he killed two women on January 25.
The man tried to rape a boy, 15, on February 5, but after failing to do so, he brutally battered the victim.
A simple reason: there is oil galore, would suffice to explain Guyana's actions. Another explanation lies in the little or none efforts made by the Venezuelan government to thwart the move by the Guyanese. This is certainly not a new problem, but a problem only recently highlighted because oil is involved. But what other resources does the disputed area hold? For most of us it is a section on the map with black and white stripes on it, a depiction of something distant, alien, a nothingness not worth paying much attention to in geography classes back in elementary school.
