Official: Chávez prepared his return to Venezuela two days ago
Venezuela's National Assembly Speaker Diosdado Cabello said that President Hugo Chávez is in his room at the military hospital "without any problem whatsoever." He also informed that an area of the hospital would be conditioned so that Chávez's followers gather and express their joy for his return to the homeland
In view of the impact of his return to Venezuela, Chávez would not disclose his plans, and announced his arrival only when he arrived at the Carlos Arvelo Military Hospital, southwest Caracas, where he is to continue treatment.
"It will be a historical day for the homeland," Cabello stated, adding that President Chávez is "in his room without any problem whatsoever. We are fixing all the internal details in order to make sure that nothing is missing."
Cabello announced that an area of the Military Hospital would be conditioned so that people could be near the head of state without hindering normal operations. "You cannot prevent people from rallying and being happy," Cabello stressed.
