Sixty-five people were murdered in the first four days of February in Caracas, including 40 people that were killed during the weekend.

A police officer remarked that February is likely to become a very violent month considering the number of dead bodies (16) taken to the morgue on a daily basis.

In January 2013, the morgue received a total of 419 bodies, 80% of which had gunshot wounds, a source from the Scientific, Criminal and Forensic Investigation Agency (Cicpc) said off the record.

Meanwhile, the relatives of the victims call for justice and pray to God.
