Carolina Jaimes Branger, a former alternate director of the National Electoral Council (CNE) for the 2005-2006 period, met on Monday with CNE director Vicente Díaz to submit a letter of complaint against the illegal change of balloting places for 108 people, including pro-government candidates for governors and their campaign teams.
Jaimes Branger claimed that any modification of the register of voters after the established period is illegal because it disregards article 40 of the Organic Law on Electoral Processes (Lopre).
She rejected as "irresponsible and unwise" the remarks made on Friday, October 26, by CNE director Socorro Hernández, who stated that relocations of pro-government candidates "are meaningless," since the register of voters totals 17 million people.
"Her remarks are aimed at diverting the attention of the public opinion from the utter violation of the principle of equity," she asserted.

The dialogue experience
José Vicente Rangel clearly said: "We are not conducting negotiations threatened with a gun in the head." He warned behind closed doors in the midst of the social upheaval occurred during the oil strike in 2002 and 2003. Dissenting Timoteo Zambrano answered back that no other option was available: "The thing is that otherwise, you do not negotiate."
