Exhibiting a picture of a meeting held with Cuban former President Fidel Castro, former Venezuelan Vice-President Elías Jaua scotched rumors on Sunday about the death of the Cuban leader.
Castro, 86, had not been seen in public over the last six months amid rumors he was seriously ill. He met with Jaua on Saturday in Havana and then went to a hotel in the Cuban capital city, EFE cited.
The former Venezuelan vice-president informed on Sunday from Havana about his meeting with the Cuban leader saying, "Comrade Fidel was very kind for receiving us yesterday. We talk for five hours about agriculture, history, foreign affairs, and well... Fidel is doing very good," Jaua remarked.
