Capriles recognizes his election defeat

Upon the announcement made by the Venezuelan National Electoral Council (CNE) late on Sunday, Venezuelan presidential candidate Henrique Capriles Radonski addressed citizens nationwide to recognize the victory of reelected president Hugo Chávez. "I am the one who did not snatch victory. The people should not feel defeated; the people contributed in the making of a new path and the path is visible (...) I am also in that path. I am not going to leave almost 50% of the country alone," the leader remarked
