Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez arrived in 23 de Enero Parish to exercise his right to vote.

The Venezuelan leader, elected in 1999, is seeking reelection to remain in office for a total of 20 years.

Chávez was joined by Vice-President Elías Jaua and Minister of Foreign Affaire Nicolás Maduro, among other senior government officers.
