Director of the National Electoral Council (CNE) Socorro Hernández reported that 99.76% of the polling stations were installed.
On Friday, 39,018 polling stations were set up in polling places around Venezuela. This is the step that precedes the opening of polling stations, which is scheduled to take place on October 7 at 5:00 am, said state-run news agency AVN.
During the setup, polling workers connect voting machines. Then, the so-called "tally sheet zero" is printed to check that no ballots are recorded in the voting machines. Also, poll workers check whether the electoral kits necessary for proper operation of voting centers have been delivered.
The process began at 8:00 am on Friday and was witnessed by representatives of different political parties.

The dialogue experience
José Vicente Rangel clearly said: "We are not conducting negotiations threatened with a gun in the head." He warned behind closed doors in the midst of the social upheaval occurred during the oil strike in 2002 and 2003. Dissenting Timoteo Zambrano answered back that no other option was available: "The thing is that otherwise, you do not negotiate."
