The US accuses Venezuela of failure with counter-narcotics efforts

The US accused Venezuela and Bolivia on Friday of having "failed demonstrably" in counter-narcotics efforts. As a result, both countries were "blacklisted," for the second year in a row, along with Burma.

Notwithstanding, "support for programs to aid Bolivia and Venezuela are vital to the national interests of the United States," cited the presidential memorandum released by the White House, which yearly defines antidrug policies worldwide, reported AFP.
