Despite a set of regulations issued by the Venezuelan National Electoral Council (CNE), voters, electoral authorities, and CNE's senior officials were welcomed at Venezuela's election simulation held on Saturday amid the official song being used during President Hugo Chávez's 2012 presidential election campaign.

Likewise, said regulations did not prevent people from attending the simulation using garment in keeping with their favorite candidate.

Moreover, numerous reports revealed the presence of information stands managed by ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv) at the voting centers provided for such simulation.

Meanwhile, CNE's president Tibisay Lucena stressed the success in both the full operation of the electoral platform to be used on October 7 presidential election and the application of the provided protocols for each electoral stage.

Among the 55 polling centers provided for the simulation, voters averaged 60 to 90 seconds to cast their vote. The authorities have also informed that failures arising in some pieces of equipment and the systems used to relay election results were successfully met by the contingency means provided.

José Vicente Rangel clearly said: "We are not conducting negotiations threatened with a gun in the head." He warned behind closed doors in the midst of the social upheaval occurred during the oil strike in 2002 and 2003.
