Paraguay's Defense Minister María Liz García disclosed on Tuesday a video of the meeting presumably held between Venezuelan Foreign Minister Nicolás Maduro and Paraguayan military officers on June 22, just before the dismissal of President Fernando Lugo.

In a brief press conference, the minister reported that Paraguayan President Federico Franco, the successor of Fernando Lugo that same day, instructed her to deliver to the press copies of the recording that shows the attendants arriving at and leaving the meeting. Some days ago, García accused Maduro of stirring up revolt in the Paraguayan army in defense of deposed Lugo, Efe cited.

"I am sure that (copies of the film) will be given to the appropriate authorities," the minister said, referring to the Attorney General Office.

José Vicente Rangel clearly said: "We are not conducting negotiations threatened with a gun in the head." He warned behind closed doors in the midst of the social upheaval occurred during the oil strike in 2002 and 2003. Dissenting Timoteo Zambrano answered back that no other option was available: "The thing is that otherwise, you do not negotiate."
