Capriles: "Chávez, get ready because I am going to win the election"
The presidential candidate of opposition umbrella group Unified Democratic Panel (MUD) will register as presidential candidate on June 10
Henrique Capriles Radonski, the presidential candidate of opposition umbrella group Unified Democratic Panel (MUD), made a reference to President Hugo Chávez and asked him to be prepared for a defeat "because I am going to defeat you on October 7," he said.
The statement was made by Capriles at a Citizens Assembly he held with residents of the neighborhood of La Florida, northeast Caracas, where he announced that he will register as presidential candidate at the National Electoral Council (CNE) on Sunday, June 10. "We will be together to register the candidacy of future, hope and life. I invite everybody to participate," he said.
Capriles stated that the new security plan (Mission At All Life) to be implemented by the government is "smoke and mirrors." He recalled that the government has implemented more than 18 security plans so far and they have all failed.
