Embassy of Mexico in Caracas robbed
Chacao municipality police (Polichacao) officers arrested two suspects out of three. The third one managed to escape
The Embassy of Mexico located at the Milenium building in Las Mercedes (northeast Caracas) was robbed on Wednesday morning. This is the third assault on the diplomatic mission this year, after the kidnapping in January of Mexican Ambassador Carlos Pujalde Piñeiro and the robbery of his residence in Easter.
Chacao municipality police (Polichacao) officers, after running into the suspects as they left the building, managed to arrest two out of the three suspects at the Altamira interchange, Francisco Fajardo Highway. The third suspect managed to escape. At the entrance of the building, the criminals left a digital camera, a pen and a miniradio.
Agents of the Scientific, Criminal and Forensic Investigation Agency (Cicpc) are conducting the relevant investigation at the crime scene.
