Venezuelan government is certain of no derailment with Colombia
"We, Colombia and Venezuela, must have the best relationship possible, no matter the differences," the Venezuelan president uttered
Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez briefed on a telephone conversation with his Colombian counterpart Juan Manuel Santos, who assured him of "no derailment" in bilateral relations.
"I spoke to Santos and he firmly said that we are not to be derailed. We, Colombia and Venezuela, must have the best relationship possible, no matter the differences (...) We have made it and will continue making it," he pointed out.
The Head of State made such comments apropos a meeting scheduled for Friday in Cúcuta between the Venezuelan Minister of Justice Tareck El Aissami and the Minister of Defense, General Henry Rangel Silva, with their Colombian counterparts.
Chávez noted that after the meeting, the delegation would head for San Cristóbal, the capital city of Andean Táchira state.
