In the opinion of opposition presidential pre-candidate Diego Arria, February 12 is the opportunity of saving or losing the Republic. He added during his final campaign rally that he would rather lose by saying the truth instead of being dishonest.

"He, who is capable of governing is what is at stake; it is impossible to rule a country without having a position or experience," Arria told his followers.

Arria said that on Sunday, February 12, "there is the chance of a trip that will be very hard," and he advised voters to do it right.

That fact and some text messages exchanged with Orozco were enough for public prosecutors to consider him a party to the shady deals with rebar which spread over a scandal from the steel plants of Sidor.
