Minister opens training program for university teachers

Venezuela's University Education Minister Yadira Córdova opened on Tuesday the 2nd Phase of the National Plan for Permanent Training of Facilitators for Higher Education Institutions. She urged teachers to be in tune with the profound changes that have occurred in Venezuela and Latin America.
"We do not want to have teachers who only give classes; we want teachers who become activists and support a transformation process; we want people who become activists to transform the country," Córdova said in a press release. The minister is also the Vice-President for the social area.
Minister Córdova invited teachers to participate in the program.
