Chávez rejects UK's charges of colonialism against Argentina
"England is accusing Argentina of colonialism, can you imagine?" wondered Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez on Thursday night during the memorial service of Carlos Escarrá, Venezuela s Solicitor General
Venezuela's President Hugo Chávez balked on Thursday at the charges of colonialism made by British Primer Minister David Cameron against Argentina, as the latter continues to claim sovereignty over the Falkland Islands (Malvinas Island).
"As (Argentine) President Cristina Fernández said yesterday (on Wednesday), (the world) has still largely turned upside-down. She (Cristina) has to respond the British Prime Minister (David Cameron) who is now accusing Argentina of begin a colonialist country," Chávez said during the memorial service of Carlos Escarrá, Venezuela's Solicitor General, who died on Wednesday, Efe reported.
"England is accusing Argentina of colonialism, can you imagine that?" said the Venezuelan president.
