Venezuela's Solicitor General passes away
Minister of Interior Tareck El Aissami notified that the funeral would take place at the National Assembly (AN)

Venezuela's Solicitor General Carlos Escarrá passed away on Wednesday morning of a sudden heart attack.
Minister of Interior and Justice Tareck El Aissami gave the news to state-run TV channel Venezolana de Televisión (VTV). He said that the funeral would take place at the National Assembly (AN). Until last year, he was a Congressman for pro-government United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Aragua state.
"He devoted his life to helping the poor and building democracy," the minister commented on the deceased.
In addition to being the Solicitor General and a Congressman, Escarrá was a judge at the Administrative-Political Chamber, Supreme Tribunal of Justice (TSJ).
