OPEC reports 1.35% slide in Venezuelan oil production

Output in June amounted to 2.77 million barrels per day of oil

Venezuela recorded another month of lower crude oil production, as appears from the numbers collected by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) on the performance of the oil market in June.

Based on the OPEC report, Venezuelan oil production in June 2013 amounted to USD 2.77 barrels per day (bpd) of oil, a 1.35% plunge compared with the same month last year.

Data contained in the OPEC report and directly supplied by Venezuela to the OPEC Secretariat show as well a 0.58% hike in Venezuelan oil production in May-June 2013, from 2.75 million bpd to 2.77 million bpd.

The largest OPEC producer in June was Saudi Arabia, at 9.64 million bpd; followed by Kuwait, 2.98 million bpd, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), 2.83 million bpd.
