The Venezuelan Automobile Chamber (Cavenez) informed that Venezuela's domestic automobile production recorded a 3.54% setback in October as against 2011.

As many as 8,295 vehicles were assembled in October 2012, compared to 8,599 in 2011, Cavenez noted.

If comparing the figure with that recorded in September (8,038), output shows a 3.20% rise.

Accumulated production through October 2012 accounts for 92,085 vehicles, 4.17% above the figure recorded in 2011 (88,396).

Dossier
This is all there is

A simple reason: there is oil galore, would suffice to explain Guyana's actions. Another explanation lies in the little or none efforts made by the Venezuelan government to thwart the move by the Guyanese. This is certainly not a new problem, but a problem only recently highlighted because oil is involved. But what other resources does the disputed area hold? For most of us it is a section on the map with black and white stripes on it, a depiction of something distant, alien, a nothingness not worth paying much attention to in geography classes back in elementary school.
