Lightning storm causes fire at El Palito refinery

No injured were reported due to the incident

State-run oil company Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa) informed in a press release that an outbreak of fire had occurred on Monday at 4:40 p.m. in one section of tank 80x7 at El Palito refinery, located in north central Carabobo state, following a lightning storm. The Emergency Response Team of the refinery put out the flames quickly.

William Arévalo, the deputy manager of the refining complex, informed that there were no injured due to the incident and that neighboring communities were not at risk.
