Fire at El Palito refinery put out

Asdrúbal Chávez, the vice-president of state-run oil company Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa), informed on Saturday that the flames at the 170x5 storage tank at El Palito refinery (Carabobo state, north Venezuela) were put out last Friday (September 21) at 11:45 p.m. The fire had started last Wednesday night (September 19) after a lightning storm hit the refinery facilities. The incident did not leave any injured and the refinery is back to regular operations.

The very early morning after the presidential election (April 15), both candidates requested the National Electoral Council (CNE) to conduct a full audit of the process:  one, Henrique Capriles, because he asserts that the election results are different from the ones announced, and the other one, Nicolás Maduro, in order to clear any doubt regarding his victory, and to reinforce his political stance. Nevertheless, as it is already known, President Maduro changed his mind.
