Another shift of firefighters will be introducing a new strategy to put out the fire still blazing in Venezuelan refinery Amuay, located in the state of Falcón, north-west Venezuela, after its explosion early on Saturday, said a group of workers from state-run oil company Pdvsa volunteering in the event.

The workers informed that the situation was under control and dismissed further explosions despite imminent flames arising from the burning of fuel.

Meanwhile, Corazones Peluditos, an animal protection foundation has been in the area to assist animals harmed by the explosion.

Ismenia Arria, president of the foundation, has informed eight veterinarians have been assisting the animals.

The dialogue experience

José Vicente Rangel clearly said: "We are not conducting negotiations threatened with a gun in the head." He warned behind closed doors in the midst of the social upheaval occurred during the oil strike in 2002 and 2003. Dissenting Timoteo Zambrano answered back that no other option was available: "The thing is that otherwise, you do not negotiate."
