President Chávez claims inflation is under control
GDP will amount to USD 400 billion by the end of the year
Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez claimed that inflation "continues its downward trend" and said that the "figures are positive" as the Consumer Price Index in July reveals.
The leader said that the GDP figures of the second quarter are higher than those in the first quarter, when growth stood at 5.6%.
President Chávez also said that the economy will continue its upward trend and GDP will amount to USD 400 billion by the end of the year.
